Dr. Coney-Fonville believes that developing a strong and positive relationship is the foundation of everything she does both professionally and personally.  She focuses her attention on supporting other scholars in their endeavors and encouraging other young girls in balancing their family, work and education. She strongly supports life-long learning whether it’s in a classroom or developing personally.  She has established short and long term goals by the day, week, month and year.  Dr. Coney-Fonville is focused and determined to be a positive impact and influence in the lives of others.

The ultimate and most important possession outside of Dr. Coney-Fonville family is her personal relationship with God.  She expressed nothing compares with a personal relationship with God, and it’s a privilege to share God’s goodness to others.  She gives credit to her Grandmother who initially introduced her to God at an early age and taught her the importance of prayer and forgiveness.

Dr. Coney-Fonville seeks other ways to serve in her community and to be a beacon of light to those striving to find their way.  One of her favorite quotes states:
